The only way to download these page-integrated videos like on 
www.youtube.com i know, is an extension for the firefox browser. if 
anybody knows a way that works for opera, i am very interested in!

in the meantime, you can give the firefox extension a try:

There often are Opera extensions for popular Firefox extensions, see here:

Thanks for the tip. Nice Site!
I switched to opera recently, so i am still learning bout the features. 
You list Adblock Plus on first place, and say that Opera has this 
functionality built-in.
Till now i only managed to manually block content. is there the 
possibility to use regular expressions to block content like in Adblock?

And if there is, maybe there is a list of reg-ex`s to import? this would 
be really great, cause this is the only thing i really miss in opera. I 
was not used to see any ads while browsing with adblock enabled ;)
