SVG errors in Opera

SVG errors in Opera
Thu, 12 Jul 2007 16:44:45 -070
If an .svg file contains an error, Opera will typically simply fail to
display it, with no information. MSIE does identify the exact row
and column of the error in the text file.

Is there a way to display the error in Opera ?

I get XML parsing error messages, which include line and column
information. You appear to be using Opera 9.02. The latest is 9.21. It's
always a good idea to be using the latest version of any software. Maybe
if you upgrade you'll get the error messages too?

Tools -> advanced -> Error console.
It won't open automatically, although you can set it to open on all errors
in site preferences.
(There's also a global setting to open on all errors, but so many sites
have Javascript and CSS errors that it becomes maddening in about 20
seconds.)

I upgraded to Opera 9.21, and checked 'Error console'. It does not
display SVG error messages. I cannot find the 'open on all errors'
in site preferences. I assume that's Tools->Preferences, but it has
nothing about errors.

NOTE: If you're using site-specific preferences,
you need to select "Open console on error" under the
scripting tab. Yes, you will need this even if the
error console is already open. (BUG 260693)

(...which reminds me I've got a few more bug reports
to file...)
