Using Opera 2.96 on XP professional. Suddenly all my favourites
disappeared. All that was left was the trash bin. When I clicked on the
trash bin Opera crashed. I've uninstalled, and reinstalled, but as soon as
I import my old favourites Opera crashes, and I get the following in the
Application event log:

I've heard about this before. Let me check my internal logs.

It was due to some sort of corruption in opera6.ini - there was no path set
for the bookmark file. I used Opera:config to correct this, and all in now
OK. However, I'm surprised that this made Opera crash.
