All the while I've been using Opera on Linux, I've never been
able to successfully validate my java installation.
Tools -> Preferences -> Advanced Tab
Java Options...
Type in the path to the java binary - in my case:
/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0-sun-1.6.0.05/jre/bin/java
hit the validate button, get error message back that says
"Could not find a valid Java installation.
Enter another directory and try again."
Have also tried it with the java executable left off the
above path. Same result.
Not unique to 9.50b2 (1904 .6 rpm), but confusing and
irritating...
