Create a new user, login to that user, launch Opera, and see if the

Contact Opera regarding this, they could be interested.

I don't think it is some sort of evil thing , it could be some 
preference corruption and nothing else.

Um, the OP had already fixed the problem before posting.  I'm not sure
why he even posted (he asks what it means that deleting Preferences
fixed the problem, and I don't know what he possibly thinks it could
mean other than that an item in Preferences was corrupted), but the
problem was solved from the outset of this thread.

Who said it was important?  It's not as if posting a message takes a
major effort.

I'm just amused that the OP posted in the first place.  He had a problem
and fixed it, and asked if anyone knows what it means.  I have no idea
what _he_ meant, since he had already demonstrated that a file in his
Preferences folder had been corrupted.

Then I have absolutely no idea why Ilgaz Öcal thought the Opera people
would be interested.  This is just a very odd thread.
