Keyboard shortcuts work & not

Keyboard shortcuts work & not
Fri, 23 Nov 2007 10:37:03 -060
Sometimes my F4, Cmd_F8, Option_F11, Cmd_F11 work but most of the time
they don't. I made a shortcut for Javascript Enable (Cmd_J) and
Javascript Disable (Cmd_Shift_J) that always work. So I guess
something is conflicting with the other shortcuts. Any idea how to
find out where the conflict is? I've tried Opera operating alone and
there doesn't seem to be anything in Activity Monitor that is running
in the background. F7 now refreshes webpages now and it never used

Command+R and F5 should refresh webpages in the Opera Standard
keyboard.ini, F7 is set to "Activate hotlist window". You can use the

Quick find field in he shortcut editor to detect what's in use. Go to
Opera > Preferences > Advanced > Shortcuts and edit the Keyboard setup,

then enter e.g. 'reload' in the quick find field on top.

I'd like to propose that you return to the Opera standard keyboard setup
and then edit/add to that one to make sure that all the defaults are used
as a basis.

Several shortcuts depend on the context in which you use them. They are
supposed to do the same in the same context, though. Perhaps this depends
on the moon phase? ;) Do you have any extra shortcut tools running besides
Opera? Does this only happen in certain contexts, e.g. when the cursor is
inside a text file in Opera (e.g. the address field)?

That is a distinct possibility!

Nope. Not that I know of. Nothing turns up in Activity Monitor.

Haven't noticed that but I'm going to keep an eye on things like that.
