As mentioned in a previous post, I experience CPU usage of 80%+ of Opera
alone.
Just by chance I had the Activity Monitor open next to Opera, when I right
clicked the panel where mail and news accounts/groups/messages are located.
Lo and behold, the CPU activity for Opera dropped to 2.5% !!
I only right clicked, did not select anything from the opened context
menus. As soon as I click outside the context menus to close them, the CPU
usage jumps to aprox 85%!?
I'm sure there is a logical explanation or?

Hmm, I hope so, perhaps opening a context menu pauses plugin display in
Opera. Just like Rijk said it would be interesting to know if any pages
run that make heavy use of plugins. This doesn't mean Opera plugins, there
are no specific plugins needed for Opera. It means pages that make use of
the plugins installed on your system like e.g. Flash (which is used by
YouTube and other video pages) or QuickTime (which is used for displaying
Videos on many other sites).

I was think allong the same lines myself. And it was one particular
tab/page which caused the heavy load. Unfortunately, by the time I got to
it I was no longer paying close attention, so I cant remember what site it
was..
