e-mail difficulty

e-mail difficulty
Tue, 19 Feb 2008 22:40:53 -080
I recently upgraded to v.9.25

I'm having problems seeing my e-mail messages. I am running OS 10.4.10 in
this MacBook and I am able to read Newsfeeds, (some) newsgroups, and web
pages. In fact, the little pop up boxes at the lower corners of the screen
that pop up to indicate newly received mail/news shows that Opera is
receiving my mail, but I only get a blank screen out of the Received
window. It's funny because I have the same version of Opera running
perfectly on my iMac OS10.2.8

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. The error console is showing this -->

CSS -
http://webmail.att.net/wmc/v/wm/47BBC197000DE3EF000036C922218675169B0A02D29B9B0E
BF090207049D0A9B9C0A07029D0A0D?cmd=List&sid=c0
CSS - http://img.att.net/cobrand/bellsouth/hb/webmailads.htm
HTML style attribute
transparent is an unknown property
Line 1:
    display:none; padding: 0 0 2px; border:none; transparent; width:150px;
   ----------------------------------------------------------^
CSS - http://img.att.net/cobrand/bellsouth/hb/webmailads.htm
HTML style attribute
Declaration syntax error
Line 1:
    display:none; padding: 0 0 2px; border:none; transparent; width:150px;
   ----------------------------------------------------------^

Any suggestions would be helpful.

The CSS errors in the Error console should not be related to your problem
unless you use Webmail. Since you said that Opera shows a pup-up for new
messages I take that you use the internal mailer. If messages are not
shown often the 'View' settings have been changed. Please open the
Received view and click on the View button in it's toolbar. Check the
submenus, especially the 'Show' menu to see if you have e.g. disabled the
presentation of read messages. Also go through the other submenus to make
sure that you have not set Opera to only show mails from e.g. a certain
period.

Thanks for the quick response. I figured out what the problem was and it
had happened to me once before too. In the panels window where all the
folders and received e-mail can be seen, I needed to <CTRL> click on
"all
messages" and select "show messages from" from the submenu.
Apparently,
during the upgrade installation, the selection in that submenu got
changed, as did all the options from the "view" menu from the tool
bar.
When I changed the options to "view all", my incoming mail was all
there.
:o
