How do I clean up or just clear all of the entries in the drop-down address
list? I can't find anything about it in the help files. I've got about 100
entires but all I want is about 20. How to edit to delete the extra entries?
thanks

Edit the "Max Global History Lines" value...
Paste into address bar:
opera:config#UserPrefs|MaxGlobalHistoryLines
Scroll to bottom of section and press [Save]

You could try to manually edit the "Direct History File"...
Find the location listed here:
opera:config#UserPrefs|DirectHistoryFile
(but... maybe you cleared it above)

thnks guy but isn't there a simpler way? Maybe I'm confusing it with IE but I
thought where was some user friendly place where you could just put the number
of entries you want in and voila, it's done.

You can edit the number of addresses that are saved, but they go in
increments of 0, 100, 500, ...; if you want 20, you should just edit the
above.
