Hello !
I think there is a problem with
Version 9.27
Build 8841
Platform Win32
System Windows XP
when playing an AdobeFlash video with 9,0,115,0
When Opera is in the background it uses 50% processor, and when it's in main
window it uses 99% as long as the video plays, no matter if it is already in the
cache or not. Everything is freezed, I must wait several seconds until a click
is acted.
I went back to 9.26 and same problem... But I don't remember I had it
before.
Any idea?
I've K-Lite Mega Codec 3.85 installed.

Hadn't noticed any problem. Any URLs?

On my machine, it uses:
18 - 25% in Firefox
20 - 30% in IE7
30 - 50% in Opera
So although it isn't saturating the processor on my machine, it is certainly
using much more processor time that the other two browsers.
Currently running Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.4G dual core) with 2G RAM on
Vista Home Premium.

In 9.27, the first 2:30 ran 48-70% here, mostly in the high 50s and low
60s.

I too get this on my Opera 9. I'm not using K-Lite but I am using
9.0.115.0 of Adobe Flash. I was getting this slowness/cpu before I
upgraded Flash. It is making my Opera almost unusable at times.
(1) Using Process Monitor from System Internals, I see Opera.exe is
accessing a .TMP file in the cache a huge number of times.
(2) Process Monitor also showed Opera was trying to access about 10
image files in the IMAGES folder. It was trying ICO, BMP, GIF, PNG for
each one. All without success because the image files were not there.
However my use of Opera had nothing whatsoever to do with those image
files or the websites they had in their names. I dummied up some image
files and gave them the names Opera was seeking and it was ok.
(3) I also see repeated attempts to access these registry keys
(WinXP Pro/SP2) and have just posted about this:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Nls\Language Groups\1Data: 1
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Nls\Locale\00000409
(4) I had thought my Hosts file and eDexter were causing the problem.
(5) In preferences I have reduced 'Max Connections Per Server' to 2 in
order to try and slow things down a bit. Changes to the 'Redraw Time'
helps a little but not much.
