I understand that there is no way to auto hide like in Maxthon. That is a
wish for Opera. This is as pretty close a perfect Browser as you can get.
I think that the auto hide feature which is the best thing about Maxthon
and also, the ability to display ALL types of web pages, THAT would
probably make Opera the PERFECTest browser of all times. :)

I apologize for not being clear about what I mean. I take for granted that
most people have tried other browsers and programs that use browsers (like
Maxthon).

When using Maxthon you can have the bookmark (favorite) sidebar (panel)
appear and disappear as you approach the left side with the mouse. Once
the mouse leaves the area, the panel automatically closes. The same
applies for the menus and tab bar and.... both work in fullscreen mode.
That is something that I can't get Opera to do. Given Opera's versatility,
perhaps, there is a way to do it. I just have not found it.

I am not sure what you mean by "autohide" and in what context.

However, as I use the term myself, Opera can do a form of
autohide with the manage screens, pages, tabs, or whatever the
proper term is.

For bookmarks, if I select a bookmark from the manage bookmarks
page, with maximize all new tabs, I see the page, and the manage
bookmarks page disappears, "autohides," but remains open. If I
close the new page, it returns or reappears, and I can tab to it
any time. This works well for me.

With the bookmark panel, you have to open and close it manually.
That is a pain.

For reasons unknown, you can set the active bookmark directory
only in the panel and not in the manage screen. You should be
able to do it in either.

Also, the progress bar comes on and goes off, another form of
"autohide."

I think it is not possible with the actual versions and I'd like to have
it too, it would save 2 clicks. :)

Something for opera.wishlist ?
