Opera constantly accessing registry for language type

Opera constantly accessing registry for language type
Sun, 13 Apr 2008 18:14:11 +010
I launch Opera 9 and run the free application Process Explorer.

Even without any further user activity after launch, Opera 9 accesses
the two following registry keys about 9 or 10 times a second which
seems excessive. The result of the accesses are always shown as
'SUCCESS'.

HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Nls\Language Groups\1Data: 1
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Nls\Locale\00000409

Does anyone else find they get this?

If it is unusual then how can I reduce this because I'm having some
performace problems with Opera and solving this might provide a bit of
improvement.

PS: This is where I got Process Explorer from:

No, but I get ridiculous amounts of

  OpenKey      HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
  QueryValueEx HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SubVersionNumber
  CloseKey     HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

using 9.26 on Windows 98SE.
