| Import of Thunderbird Mail settings = Freeze. |
 |

Hi!
My first post on this group, have been around on usenet for several years,
just not here..
Problem:
Trying to import data/settings from Thunderbird running OsX 10.5.1 (Mac).
I get to the window/screen where you select what program to import from,
select Thunderbird, then hit next. This results in a freeze and The
spinning Beach Ball of Death.
Only solution is to Force Quit Opera.
Any suggestions? I realy need to import my Contacts and old E-mail.
The very first time I tried this I actually got one window/screen futher,
to where you choose what data to import from Thunderbird, but hitting Next
got me the exact same reult.
I would appreciate any help on this.

The next release of Opera will likely have a fix for this freezing. For
now, might it be possible to import the mbox files that TB uses for mail
storage?

Hi again.
Is 9.50 far away time wise?
A problem with Thunderbird is the lack of a mail/contacts export facility.
I have asked around, and got no conclusive answer what to move to save
contacts and mail.
I encountered this problem doing a clean install of Leopard.
I ended up moving the whole Program from a backup boot drive, did not work
out very well, I had to fiddle with it, not even sure what fixed my
problem...
Thanx.
Sincerely.
