Hi,
.mbs news files accumulate in the store folder at an alarming rate.
I did limit view period to a month or even 1 week but .mbs files have not
shrunk.
Is there a setting to control the storage period?
Must I delete the Newsgroup and recreate it to clean up the "store".
If,
on a fast internet connection when you add a Newsgroup, by the time you
jump on setting: View | Diplay and set it to less than Forever (it seems
to default to) you already have a tonne of messages listed
Thanks in advance

The time setting only provides a filtered view of what's there, it doesn't
remove non-matching items.

No - it is always "forever"

No, all you do occasionally is delete unwanted messages then empty trash.
(With most rss feeds I delete as I go, but I purge news every couple of
months.)
