Search problems

Search problems
Mon, 24 Mar 2008 09:24:02 -070
Search results are incomplete (some emails that contain the search phrase
appear, others do not) no matter where I enter the search phrase - Start
Search, Quick Search, or Mail->Search. I suppose this is an index problem
but I cannot find any concise instructions on how to fix it. Any guidance
appreciated.

See http://groups.google.com/group/opera.mail+news/msg/44d5018b21f60909?
for detailed instructions on how to export all of the messages, and what to
delete prior to re-importing the messages.

Thanks for your help Dave. The program works. The bad news is that I
have to work my way through maybe a hundred subfolders with mbs files in
them, get 4 years worth of emails (the majority of which I thought were
deleted) into a figurative pile, and go through them one by one to find
what I want to keep. It's like going through the city dump to find a
couple emails. Realistically I will just have to start a new mail file
from scratch, with some profanities mumbled in the direction of Norway.

Opera 9.5 will be able to import Opera 7/8/9 mail straight from an
existing mail directory.

I am glad to hear it.
Will M2 continue to keep deleted mail?
Are there plans to provide a way to purge old mail?
Come to think of it maybe purging is just another opportunity to confound
