I have deliberately used this sometimes. but it's been very annoying when a
middle
click misses the link (the mouse action on one computer is a bit laggy, so the
mouse often misses, whereupon mouse movement rapidly scrolls page instead of
opening link. obviously i need to find the firefox pref that disables this
feaure :-) )

just tried it. following the middle click in whitespace, the scroll speed and
direction
varies depending on (logical) direction of mouse nudges. works nicely, imo.
