Unable to Log In At Operamail with Opera

Unable to Log In At Operamail with Opera

Hi All, long time no post....

I've been having a problem with Opera and Operamail. I don't get it. When  
I try to log on, I get the message that my session has expired. Yes, I  
read the FAQ and I DO HAVE cookies turned on. With Opera 8.5 I've tried  
clearing the cache and the cookies, and that seemed to work for a while  
then it stopped working, I couldn't log on, yet I'd start up IE and could  
log on fine. (I don't WANT to use IE!). I upgraded to Opera 9 beta and was  
okay for a while, then the same thing started. Uninstalled the beta then  
installed the release verion of Opera 9 and it worked for a while, now the  
last 2 days I can't get logged on again, Session expired, make sure  
cookies are turned on. I've checked that, I've cleared the cache and  
cookie file for Operamail, and even re-enabled all popups to see if that  
was it, it ain't. Anybody got any ideas?

Oh yes,.. as a follow up, I'm using a version of Opera 8 (not sure which)  
on my machine at my office and don't seem to have this problem on that  
comp. It runs WinXP Pro, my home machine with this problem is running XP  
Home SP2. I'm on a satellite connection at home, T1's at the office.

It sounds like a cookie issue.  I just tried with both my account and my  
wife's account and had no problem at all.  I'm allowing all cookies.  I  
notice there's been some changes on the site since I was last there.

I agree that it sounds like the cookie issue, but I have Accept All  
Cookies checked.

Ok, another follow up. I realized as I sat staring at the screen saying  
that my previous logon had expired, that the site was not  
www.operamail.com, it was http://mymail.operamail.com. So, I went back to  
the cookie manager and found the cookie for mymail.operamail.com that I  
hadn't looked for before and deleted it and it let me log on. Now the  
question is, why is it that I have a problem with the cookie?
