This turned out great Nicole. You are learning by leaps and bounds.
I'm sorry I do not know the answer to your question. I think it is safe to
say, however, that the view you see in the source tab of OE is the correct
one. At least it always has been for me. I have never used IE to view a stat
while it is in progress.
I do have my saved scripts set to open in IE as full stationery when I am
choosing a script to re-use, and they always look perfect in IE when I open
them in it.
You are almost doing a lesson 5 with this stat. I am amazed at how quickly
you have learned so far.

LaVonne

Hello LaVonne,

What do you mean by leaps and bounds ?
When I write my script I use the bloc note and I save my bloc note with
extention .HTML and I always use IE to view what it's look like .
It is the first time it does not look the same in IE and OE for me.
When I was a member in a PSP group somebody there shows us how to put our
own images in a script, and the way she explaine to us was to save the eml
file which
is the format in OE and then make CTRL F2 to have the bloc note then to
save
it with extention .HTML and than make all the changes for the bg , images,
borders color
and preview them in IE , when everything is ok to copy the bloc note in the
source in OE.
When I re-use a script I always use the eml and make the changes directly
in OE .
I thing we all have our own way to work.
Thank you very much for you complements, I did not know I am mostly doing
lesson 5,
I am not there yet, I am still working on the lesson 4 I have not finish it
yet.

I wish you good night.

Hugs,
Nicole

Hi Nicole, leaps and bounds means you are doing great with the scripting.
When someone is leaping and bounding along that means they are doing
excellent work in whatever they are doing, and at a faster pace than a lot
of others have done. It is a compliment to you.
You are right that people do things in their own way. I do mine differently
than you. Not that my way is any better or worse than your way, but what I
do is first prepare my images and background and save them in my stationery
folder. I decide on the colors I will use for each element and choose the
midi file and copy it to the stationery folder. Then I write my script and
save it in the same folder with an html extension. Then all I need do is go
to the group and click on the little down arrow at the top left of the
screen and scroll down to "select stationery" and then scroll to where
it is
saved and click on the html file. That opens the stationery in OE. If it
looks the way I want and the music plays and everything works the way I
want, I type the message and hit the send button. I always save a copy of my
script in a folder in My Documents with a .txt extension to be used again
and again if I want to.
Hugs,
LaVonne

 Good morning LaVonne,

Thank you very much for the explanation . It pleased me to know that it is
a complement.

I monstly do the same way as you do. I prepare my images and background and
I put the midi file in the same folder on my drive E under the mane of the
lesson, than I
write the script with the bloc note whitch I save in .HTML in the same
folder.
The reason I dont put the folder of the lesson I am preparing into the
stationery folder on the drive C \program file\ Common file\Microsoft share\
Stationery is just in case my computer crash.
I do not want to loose my work.
I do not like to look at my script in OE because in the source it does not
look the same as on the bloc note.
That's why I preview it in IE, I make the changes on the bloc note and
than save the
changes, in IE I clic on refresh and I can see if it is what I expected it
to be . When everything is ok I create a new message in the newsgroup, I
highligth all my bloc note and copy it into the source in OE of my new
message.
You are right by saying : " that my way is any better or worse than your
way"
I think that both ways are good.

My be when I will get to lesson 5 I will find an answer to the question I
had ask on this post.

Today I will not have time to work on my script, I am going over at my
friend place . Each Thursday I give PSP lesson to 4 of my friends. And
tonight I have a conference , I will be back only around 11 PM.

I wish you a nice day
Thanks again,
Hugs,
Nicole
