Sad state of affairs :(
Fri, 23 Feb 2007 06:07:34 -050
I've been searching out psp tutorials. psplinks.com, so many of the sites
are no longer around, and if you do find where they have migrated
to.......they have membership fees. I always thought of tutorials as
learning tools, but not something I would pay money to use. One site did
not even give any previews of what the tutorials make. And one site had the
audacity to state in their terms, that whatever we make using the tutorial,
we cannot claim. WTF???
Mainly, when I make a tutorial, I only use it as a guide.......a lot of
times, I don't use the same filter or settings, I make them unique to me.
This new trend is a very sad state of affairs.

I totally agree with you - tutorials are not really exclusive things --- but you
must understand that people have had their tutorials stolen by plagerists in the
past. People who wanted the credit for something they didn't do.

There are some MSN Communities that have free classes and have their own
tutorial sites. You need to be a member of the main Communities and then join
the tutorial Communities. If you're interested I can give you the info.

Thanks, but i was mainly ranting, lol.
So many of the really good ones are gone, unfortunately.
I've done the msn group thing before, with more than just psp,
like with the sims too :)
I can understand having a pay site for sims things, for poser or bryce
items, but I just cannot understand having one for psp tutorials.
Especially when they don't even show previews.

I understand perfectly, as I had a tutorial stolen more than
once.........always the same one too, my footprints one, lol.
In fact, it was this group here that alerted me of one such event, but
within 24 hours of me finding out about it, it was off that other site.
What is to stop the people who pay from doing the same thing anyway?

You may remember me as Bluegenie2, lol. Oh and I have been accused, in the
past, of stealing from myself too, lmao!

A lot put up terms of service, but there is only one of those, so far that i
have seen, that states that the results are NOT ours.
I think the most disappointing was when Diz put all her tutorials on cd and
that is the only way to get them. Diz is like a mainstay in the community.
