Lady Bug Tuorial ***by Can***

Tutorial created using Paint Shop Pro version 7.04

Tools Used
Preshapes=Elipse
Line=Straight
Fill Bucket
any filter or shading or effects
Tutorial below


Canvas size 400 or 600 big enough to play and you can crop it down after your
done.

My lines in image above show white just so you can keep track of what I was
doing.  If you use the actual colors you need, it will be less work in the wind
up.

1.     A.  Click Shapes select the Elipse, 
        B.  Choose the Color RED. 
        C.  Click/Hold and drag an oval shape.  
        D.  Click Line tool set to Single line/size=1 
        E.  Choose the Color RED
        F.  Click/Hold and drag thru the center.

2.     A.  Click Selections Menu Choose Select All
        B.  Click Objects Menu Choose Group
        C.  Hover over the center right square, you should see two arrows, 
             Left Click/Hold and turn slightly.
             
3.        A.  Click Layers Menu Choose Merge/Merge Visible
           B.  Click Eraser Tool and Erase half leaving the half oval and line.
           
4.        A.  Click Selections Choose Select None
           B.  Click Layers Menu Choose Duplicate
           C.  Click Image Menu Choose Mirror
           D.  Click the Mover Tool and Move it into place

5.        A.  Click Shapes Tool and Create another oval for the body.
           B.  Click Layers Menu Choose Merge/Merge Visible
           C.  Click Layers Menu/Arrange/Send to Bottom

6.        A.  Create Head and Nose using the Shape Elipse
           B.  Click Layers Menu Choose Merge/Merge Visible
           C.  Click Layers Menu/Arrange/Send To Bottom

7.        A.  Use Shape Elipse to create three circles on one side of shell.
           
8.        A.  Follow directions for #4 A, B, C, D

9.              Body
           A.  Via the Layer Palette Find the Oval Body Layer and activate it by
                clicking it.
           B.  Click Magic Wand and Click inside the body oval.
           C.  Click Selections Menu/Modify/Expand by 2
           D.  Click Layers Menu /New Raster Layer
           E.  Click Layers Menu /Arrange/Send down 1
           F.  Click Fill Bucket and choose color Black and fill the body
           G.  At this point use any effects for the body you want to use.
               Shell
          H.  Same as Body section except color red and your working with the   
                shell.

10.     A.  Same as Body section above except your working with the Dots use    
              color Black

12.     A.  Do this one before #11... the head and nose Click the Magic wand and
Hold Down Shift key and Click inside the head and nose shapes.
               Follow Body Section above #9 C, D, E, F, G

11.    A.  Via Layer Palette Hide all filled layers so that only the lines and
shapes Show.
        B.  Click Layers Menu Choose Merge /Merge Visible 
        C.  Click Layers Menu Choose Arrange/Send to Top
        D.  Unhide all the layers keeping the top layer activated
        E.  Erase the excess Lines and shape so that only your sections are
outlined.
