socketconnection on Treo - urgent

hi All,

I need urgent help. We are developing application on Treo 650 on Java using J9
v.5.7. The application utilizes SocketConnection.
What we see and can't find the way to fix is that application becames extremely
slow when we open a SocketConnection. We need to open 2 SocketConnections, so
the app refreshes screen VERY slow (several seconds to repaint) Please advice!
