Palm knows their target and what they're doing, leave em to it, I say ;)

If Palms target is purely the so called smartphone market then indeed
they are heading in the right direction. However, Palm are not a phone
company, they started out as a PDA company and did a very good job at
it. It would appear that they have abandoned this side of their heritage
and what made them great which can understandably upset many developers
and users.
I develop Palm applications for vets in the UK and simply don't require
a smartphone - one complication to many for the user. As my work phone I
use a Palm Treo650 but much prefer my Samsung D900 for a smoother user
friendly experience.
The Palm TXs I use to develop on I think is the best of the Palm PDAs so
far but is showing its age, indeed just last week my boss asked when
they new Palm would be coming out - to which I couldn't give an answer.
In my opinion Palm should revive their PDA side of the business as to
quote the Kevin Costner film Field of Dreams, "if you build it they will
come"...
