I just encountered this issue when launching CW on a machine I have run it on
many times, though not for a couple of months. I have to believe something I
installed recently conflicts with CW. A separate installation in Parallels on a
Mac, also a pretty old install, still runs fine.
If I find anything conclusive, I'll post it here. In the meantime, I will
probably try re-installing to see if that fixes things.
