PSE 6 Mac user unable to load new .asl files

I have recently got PSE6. I'm using Mac OS 10. Tried loading all my add on .asl
files directly into presets as I did in my previous version (PSE3). Re opened
the program but the extra layer styles are not showing up.

Go to hard drive>library>application support>adobe>photoshop
elements>6.0>locale>en_US (this will vary depending on your localized
version of PSE) and delete mediaDatabase.db3. The next time you start PSE it
will be slow to launch because it is rebulding the database.

However, I would suggest putting those styles into Photo Creations>Layer
Styles in that folder rather than into presets. Try that if just deleting the
database doesn't make them available.

Thank you so much for your help. That worked just fine. I went ahead and added
the files to Photo Creations>Layer Styles. Seemed sensible as the folder was
just there.
