Windows XP, Photoshop Elements 5.0
In My Documents -> My Pictures there is a directory called "adobe
restore" that has a Documents and Settings folder and a My Catalog file. In
Documents and Settings there directories for All Users as well as my specific
log-in. From my log-in directory I can drill down through My Documents -> My
Pictures and find what appears to be copies of all of my photos (at least from
the date this directory was created.)
I think this must be something Photoshop Elements generated since it has the My
Catalog and Application data from other users.
My question is: Is it safe to get rid of this and how do I do it? I have a
number of external hard drives I'd prefer to use for backups if that's what this
is intended for. This directory is actually larger than all of the rest of My
Pictures folder because I've moved many photos to a portable USB drive since it
was created and I'd like to reclaim this disk space (8GB).

In Organizer, under Edit->Preferences, Select Files and modify the location
of "Folders for Saved Files:" as per your needs. The default location
is mentioned there. Modify the same accordingly.
