On the old computer, in PSE5, do a Backup Catalog, which copies all of your
photos and catalog to a CD or DVD or EHD.

I am curious as to why you suggested installing PSE 5 (and the 5.0.2 update) on
the new computer which came with PSE 6 installed?

If you are upgrading from an earlier version of Photoshop Elements to
Photoshop Elements 6, there are some important notes to keep in mind:
......
* Photoshop Elements 6 uses a different catalog file format. After the
catalog is restored, it will automatically be converted to a Photoshop
Elements 6 catalog.
