PSE 6 Organizer hangs on start up.

PSE 6 Organizer hangs on start up.

Every time I open PSE 6 Organizer it hangs on startup. The first few times I
opened it is said that is was generating thumbnails. Even though I had let it
taken several hours to do so this for my 14K images.

Now it just hangs on my Win XP, Pentium 4, 1GB machine.

3/4 minutes elapse before I can do anything.

Some questions:

- When you say "3/4 minutes elapse before I can do anything", do you
mean that after 3 or 4 minutes, then you can use the Organizer normally?

- During that 3 to 4 minutes, roughly what percentage of the CPU is being used,
as reported by the Task Manager?

- How many raw files do you have?

- How many processors on your machine? (See the Task Manager's Performance
tab.)

I cannot do anything with organizer, the mouse or keyboard do not work in
Organzer until the time is up; Organizer hangs. BTW now timed the startup and
really 2 1/.2 minutes; just seems like more!
