Correl PH Magic 4

Correl PH Magic 4
Mon, 16 Apr 2007 06:40:54 -070

I'm using XP Pro, and in the last 3-4 months I haven't had much luck
accessing an old bus card file on PH Magic 4. I just get a hour glass. It
seems to be spinning its wheels. Comments? Is there a follow-on to this
version? I think I got in when I was using 2wk. Maybe there's a way of
importing it (cph file) into MS Word? (I'm trying just that now, and Word
seems to be spinning its wheels.)

PrintHouse 6 runs fine under XP, and can access CPH files.

XNView says that it can convert cph files. You can test it with their
free trial download.

Thanks. I'll take a look. I called out of town unexpectedly for 5-6 days.

Whoops. I probably misunderstood. Do I have to buy a copy of PH 6, and then
convert cph files to PH 6 format? What is xnview? Just a file converter?

I just tried running assorted older versions of PH, including Print
House 3, 4, and 6. They all run fine under XP.

Your CPH file itself may be corrupted or bad or damaged, in which case
it's probably easier to just re-create the business card from scratch.

PH6 is often available very inexpensively. You can use it to open a
CPH file and use it (if you want to stay with PH) or export it (with
the "Save As" command to any of a number of other formats.

Go to the XNView page with the link I provided. It will explain what
XNView is. (A graphic viewer and converter - not an editor)
