Hi,
I have a number of worksheets that have been modified over the years
from probably back to 1999. In the process formatting has become a
bit out of control.
When I try global formatting by selecting the cell to the left of A
and above the one, some columns, cells, do not change. I have run
into this for several versions, now X3. There times when I enter data
into a number of cells, some change format.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Choco

Possibly compatibility issues with formatting code from prior versions or
imported formats from other spreadsheet programs. Either way, with an issue
like this, I'd remove any formatting from cells which act strangely
(Edit-Clear-Formats) and re-apply formatting.
BTW, be aware that global formatting tends to be a resource hog, bloating your
file size and slowing performance.
Cheers,
Uli
