I can't get conditional formatting to work in Quattro Pro (13.0.0.565) -
I am trying to get zero values in white font (to essentially disappear)
and non-zero values in black. I tried Format, Selection properties,
Custom, YYYY, this cell <> ), 999999.99, Arial 10, black, and this cell
= 0, 999999.99, Arial 10, white, but it doesn't work. I also tried
Format, Sheet properties, low value 0, high value 0, below normal black
above normal black, normal white, and that doesn't work. What am I
missing? I am running on Windows XP SP2.

Fred,

You can get zero values to disappear as follows:

@If(A1;A1;"")

With that formulation in cell B1, B1 will be blank if A1 is zero.

It works.

Entering the Dialog, delete existing items.
[Add]
First term:
Value: This cell <> 0
Using the Numeric dropdown,set up 00.00, 99.99
or whatever variation suits you.
[Add]
Select the second line in the top box.
Second term: Value: this cell [ ]
Select the 99.99 or whatever you chose.
Click the [color] button and choose X (no display)
[OK]
Select your new format
[OK]

However, as long as it suits your setup, this is much easier:

Format|Sheet|Display zeros (x)No | [OK]
