I have X3 installed with Vista. QP has been running satisfactorily but
today when I open it, a message is displayed:
Runtime Error
Program:C:\Program Files\WordPerfect Office X3\
Program QPW.exe
abnormal program termination
What can I do to fix this?

Hold the left shift key down and click the EXE. It will ask if you want
to replace the workspace.
You should probably backup your workspace in case this happens again.

What I quoted is the message that shows up in a window after I open QP.
It is not a link and I am unable to click on it. I tried to find this
exe using Windows Explorer and following the folder/file sequence and by
using search but was unable to find the file that was named.

This morning when I tried to open QP, a message window appeared
reporting "Failed to update the system registry. Please try using
REGEDIT." I was able to look into the list of saved files but did not
attempt to open any of them. Since I did not know what to do in the
registry, I uninstalled WPOX3, shut down and then reinstalled. When I
opened QP, the Runtime error message I originally reported reappeared.
Any suggestions about the next step?

If you don't try what is suggested, then I am not sure what the value is
in asking for help.
I suggested that you hold the left shift key down and then click the
EXE. Maybe if I restated it it would be more clear to you. When I say
click the EXE that means to start qpw.exe. You may need to double click
the qpw.exe while holding down the left shift key.
As for the failure to update registry, that sounds more like a security
issue or missing entry in the registry.
The fist step of course is to replace the workspace as I have explained.
