Using XP SP2?
The Save issue has been saved for some people by using a folder outside the
<My Documents>
folder path.
Please try this, and, if it succeeds, see if it solves the Open problem too.
If not, please explain step by step how you try to open a file, and exactly
how and when the failure occurs, with any error message you see.

Hi i hope you guys can assit me with the following problem. I keep on
loosing files where as i cant open the file as well as today when i wanted
to save a specific file it said that access is denied on my local machine.
