Another Chart question

Another Chart question
Thu, 19 Jul 2007 18:21:19 -040
I had created a chart with:

First column: Dates (with older at the bottom and newer at the top)
Second and Third column: Data (max and min)

The chart showed a bar from the min to the max value.

The problem was that I couldn't control the number of vertical
gridlines. I wanted a gridline every 30 days.

So I added:

Fourth column: "dates" as text

and created a chart with the second, the third, and the fourth column,
using the fourth column as X-Axis labels. So far so good.

Now I would like to change the direction of the chart, showing the data
from the left to the right instead of from the right to the left.
Checking the Reverse Series does not work for this. Is there any way to
do what I want without reordering all the data of the chart?

Thanks,

Eustace

Y-Axis Properties, Grids & Ticks and Scale Tabs.

The Chart can only reflect the source data.
Sort it on the Date Column.
Make a backup first.

Bother. That is true for the Y-Axis, and of course you refer to the
X-Axis.

I assume that you investigated X-Axis Properties.

Thanks! That was it! Draw as descending axis. I hadn't seen it. Or
rather I had seen it and checked it in the past but had forgotten all
about it.
