Errr message with QP12 in Vista

I recently bought a computer with VISTA.  I transferred all of my  existing 
files over to the new system and installed my existing WP 12 Office on the 
new system.

Everything appeared to work OK for a  while, then recently when I attempt to 
open QP12 I get the following message:

"Runtime error:

Program "C:\Program Files\WordPerfect Office 12\Programs\QPW.exe

abnormal program termination"

I only get this with QP12- all other Office 12 program work OK.  I 
uninstalled WP Office 12 and then reinstalled it and I get the exact same 
results.

Anyone  have any idea what this error represents or what to do about it?

You can try holding down [LeftShift] as QP launches.
Answer [Yes] to the MessageBox that appears.
If no MessageBox does appear, you were too slow or too brief in 
holding down the key.
This resets the workspace to the default, and so may remove some 
corruption. You do lose all customization of toolbars &c.

However: only X3 with SP2 is supported under Vista.
