| Help with version 7 |

I've been using QP7 for a while now. At one time I was able to load a
toolbar that existed as a .BR3 from my _NBSTARTMACRO on startup. Now I get a
message saying "Cannot load toolbar".
Also, if I try to create a new toolbar using the toolbar designer, it
doesn't save the file. The toolbar buttons work as along as I don't close
QP. If I do then the toolbar is not there and no .BR3 was saved.
I'm sure there's a simple answer but I don't know what it is.
Help please.
Tony

The error message should normally be appended with the filename of the toolbar
file that QP is reporting as being unavailable, e.g., "Cannot load toolbar:
test.br3". Thus, the absence of a cited filename is strange and may
indicate
corruption in your program file(s).
Nevertheless, your other comments suggest that a toolbar file is in fact being
created, because the new toolbar apparently functions for the duration of the QP
session. A new toolbar file is created (by default in the Corel\SuiteN\Programs
folder) the very instant you click
View-Toolbars-Create-"mytoolbar"-OK, even
BEFORE you add any buttons to it.
BWT, unless this functionality wasn't present in QP7 yet (I have v8), any
toolbar can simply be loaded on startup by checking the box next to its name,
without the need for specific instructions in the startup macro.
As a last resort, you might simply copy one of the existing toolbar files and
rename it to something suitable (TonysToolbar.br3), then pull it into QP by
"creating" a new toolbar from an existing toolbar file -- you'll need
to
reference the specific toolbar file, including the path. Then simply edit the
toolbar features.
Cheers,
Uli
