| QP10 Takes several tries before it wil open |

QP10 Takes several tries before it will open. I can double click on either
the program or a file already made in Quattro pro 10, and sometimes I have
to try several times before it will actually open. When I double click on
it, or right click on the icon and choose open, I get the hour glass for a
split second but then nothing happens.

I tried holding down the shift key while opening, and it did reset
everything, but I'm still having the problem. It can get a little
frustrating when you have to double click on something 5 times before it
will finally open.

What you describe is more symptomatic of a system issue (i.e., Windows) than an
application issue. I recommend using Process Explorer (a freeware utility far
more powerful and instructive than Windows' Task Manager) to have a look at what
kind of processes are running once you "double-click", and more
importantly,
which system resources are being heavily tasked at that point.

You can try holding down [LeftShift] as QP launches.
Answer [Yes] to the MessageBox that appears.
If no MessageBox does appear, you were too slow or too brief in
holding down the key.
This resets the workspace to the default, and so may remove some
corruption. You do lose all customization of toolbars &c.
