Hi,

You can use MSDE or SQL Server Express Edition for testing.
For your deployement, use SQL 2000 Server or SQL 2005 Server.

Hi Olivier, thanks for help. As we are in SBS 2003 Server R2 standard
environment and thinking to upgrade to prem which has SQL 2005 Server
Workgroup edition. For actual deployment can it be SQL 2005 Server Workgroup
edition or must be server edition.

Thanks, PeaceGy

Hi,

In the Microsoft documentation,
(http://technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsServer/f/?en/Library/9b24bb70-47ed-46d0-a3
21-e693d16b1eb01033.mspx)
Microsoft SQL 2005 Server is only mention. So, I think all editions of SQL
2005 Server works fine with RMS.

Here you can find the features of all editions of SQL 2005 Server
http://www.microsoft.com/sql/prodinfo/features/compare-features.mspx.

Maybe you can test in a virtual environment.
