| Issues with ulimit and limits.conf. |

I am installing OAS onto my SUSE EE Linux Server. The problem is that I
cannot modify the ulimit for the oracle user (the user to install the OAS
under). I have followed the directions found on the oracle site for
installing 10g. I have also done a lot of searching regarding this issue
and none seem to work. I have redone the process using orarun with these
directions

regarding setting /etc/security/limits.conf, /etc/pam.d/login, and
/etc/pam.d/xdm . Any help on this issue would be excellent!
The issue is that ulimit -n for oracle returns 1024 no matter what I do.
And ulimit -n 6653 returns an error.
