chapms-v2 on sles

Hi,
I am trying to set up pptpd on my SLES9 box as a vpn server for the company.
Everything works fine as long as I use chap for authentication but as soon
as I try to use chapms protocol, I get this error:

 ils pppd[5270]: In file /etc/ppp/options.ppp0: unrecognized option
'+chapms-v2'

 ils pptpd[5269]: Error reading from pppd: Input/output error

It seems that the pppd supplied with SLES9 does not support mschap
protocol? Am I on the right track here or am I missing something else?
