| Downgrade ethernet speed on SLES9 SP3 PPC |
 |

I bought a P5 model 9131-52A with SLES 9 and without HMC.
I installed VIOS and works, now I'm trying to install SLES 9 SP3 but I have
a little problem.
Linux detects the virtual ethernet as a 1GB card, but this machine is
connected to a 10/100 switch.
I tryed to change the speed in linux using ethtool -s eth0 speed 100 duplex
full autoneg off, but shows the message:
"Cannot set new settings: Operation not supported
not setting speed
not setting duplex
not setting autoneg"
Now I tryed to change the speed in the VIOS using the command "chdev -dev
ent6 -attr media_speed='100_Full_Duplex'" and later I delete and
reconfigure the ethernet in Linux, but it continues running at 1G.
How I can change the speed in the adapter??
Regards,
