My guess is the implementation team decided Java5 isn't stable enough
for SLES yet, plus all the products are proven on 1.4.2, and the
timetable didn't allow to do extensive testing of all Java products on
Java5. That's just a guess though.

Does that mean that installing Java5 is unsupported? Java5 is crucial to
our use of SLES10, so is there a way to find out the official Java5 support
