YaST broken following update/SLES 9.3

I deployed some new boxes andwas running updates.  Specifically, I ran
three updates for YaST.  Once I ran those updates, I could get into YaST
but not into the online update portion of it.  Once I select the online
update it hangs with the message YaST Initializing.  Then it is frozen and
I have to shut down my terminal emulation session.  I'm not sure what
errors to look for or where I might find them.  Without the ability to
access online updates, it seems difficult to fix this problem.  Has anyone
had a similar experience?  Does anyone know the fix to this?  Thanks in

You might check the logs in /var/log/Yast2 for clues.
