How's this for protection?

How's this for protection?
Tue, 6 May 2008 09:55:12 -0700
I am running Windows Firewall, AVG freebie 7.5.5.4.3 and Windows Defender.
Occasionally I will run CC, Spybot and SuperAntiSpyware.

I have no problems and the clean up tools never find anything except the
normal cookie tracker trash, etc..

What does Windows Defender really do for me?

What am I doing wrong?

Not a great deal, probably.

You're using an inadequate firewall (no outbound protection).

You have little to no antitrojan protection (BOClean would be a good
choice, IMO).

You might also consider adding Javacool's Spywareblaster for another
aspect of protection:
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

Realistically though, it's ultimately being aware of what you're doing
that is probably more important than any software.

Thanks John and ObiWan

Looks like good advice and I will adjust my system accordingly.
