"Setup was interrupted. Restoring prior configuration."
Three times now. Iolo AV stopped something so I shut off the AV and it
still went on for long time then reboot - Just shut right off while a
little window reports it installing all sorts of stuff.
Maybe I will try again later but shut off absolutely everything that is
not necessary.
Is sure a PIA for some crap that I don't know if it improves anything.

I was wondering if that'd work.
Today I been in and out so just fool with that
longtime-to-fail-and-recover install. Just start it on its way when I am
off to something else. Come back to click something now and again then
come back to the happy news that it didn't work.

Craig,
Try installing in safe mode. I uninstalled sp3 rc2, and installed this one
with no problems.
XP pro sp2, and XPH sp2 > sp3

Out of curiosity, did you clear the cache between the downloads?
If not, that could be the problem. I have run across that problem before
myself.
