New Invoice Format

New Invoice Format

Solomon 6.5

We are trying to add a new Invoice format to our accounts receivable module.
Does anyone know how to do that. I've done updates to some crystal reports
and I'm familiar with where the reports need to be. But, every screen we go
into that looks like we can add a new format is all greyed out. I'm always
logged in as SYSADMIN too.

Thanks,

Hello Justin,
The only way to add a new report format to any report is in Utility, Report
Control Maintenance. Is that where you are going?

It seems like that would only add a different option to the report. Where
you can have up to 7 different Formats. But, we want to add a whole Report
so that when we go to the Invoice Format Maintenace we can select that format
for the invoice.

Is this something that can be done in the Utility/Report Control Maintenance
screen?

If I go to Code Type Maintenance and type to code value in I find that this
invoice format is in the Category as "System Maintained". So, when I
go to
the Code File Maintenance screen and pull up the invoice format code
everything is greyed out.

I was wondering if I temporarily switch this Category to User Maintained in
the Code Type Maintenance. Then go to Code File Maintenance and add a new
format with a new crystal report then go back and switch the Category back to
System Maintained.

Can this cause any problems? Or does anyone know if there is a better way
to do this?

Thanks,

Justin Jones

Hi,
I thought you were just adding a new format to an existing report. I also
know how to add new reports to the menu. However you are talking about
projects invoices, and I am not up-to-date with that screen/process so
another person will need to chime in here. Sorry I could not help! You may
want to post a new question and include the details from your last post.
