inventory incorrect quantity

inventory incorrect quantity
Tue, 8 Apr 2008 03:16:00 -0700
Hi, I found a inventory item has a amount on "shipped not invoice" and
"on
hand" in Quantities tab of 10.250.00.
I have check that the amount is created by 2 sales orders, which are all
shipped and invoiced. Thus, these two orders should be completed, and
"shipped not invoice" is supposed to be 0 for that item.
is there any way to check what's wrong? or fix it?

Hi Rick,
I recommend backing up then running the IN Integrity check screen. You can
run the Integrity Check for just the one item. I would check "rebuild on
order quantities" and "rebuild item quantities & costs"
options.

Hi Rick,
I'm sorry I don't know the cause of your problem. If there was a system
crash while someone was working with this item, this order, releasing a
batch, etc. it is reasonable to assume that could be the cause, but it may be
impossible to say.

You may wish to try the IN Integrity check with all options checked, but it
is not likely anything else would change your counts. You may wish to
contact Microsoft or your partner and open a case. It is possible to reset
the numbers in the tables but I wouldn't recommend that unless you are
intimately familiar with all the OM tables. Microsoft or your partner can
guide you through a SQL correction.
