Yes, I have noticed the same phenomena in the last few days and it is rather
scary..
I guess I am the pessimist....
My thoughts on why it happened?
1) Could SPAMCOP be 'eating' spam from some reason?
2) Could ATT be 'eating' spam and not passing it out to 'BULK' folder?
I guess I am a real pessimist that this is 'working as designed'..
I think we have a FUBAR here....
What scares me, is the routinely AT&T(Yahoo) tags mail as [BULK]/spam, this
is NOT...
So what does this mean.. I am losing mail....
I am not talking about mail that are ads and other mail that is truly spam.
I am talking about mailings that I have subscribed to, personal
correspondence, etc, that ends up as [BULK]/spam. I wonder where it went????

Hi,
I use AT&T/Yahoo e-mail. (Started out with SBC, years ago.)
I have always had significant (for me) spam, 50 - 200 per day,... for
YEARS! And have been using SpamCop for reporting for many of those
years.
About five days ago 99.99% of the spam STOPPED! All of the knock-off,
sex and enhancement cr*p, meds and pills, etc., just CEASED appearing
in my in-box!!! I've had perhaps a dozen spam posts at most the past
five days.
Apparently AT&T or Yahoo or someone has installed a "spam-filter"
that
works! I am extremely grateful!
Just wondering if anyone else (AT&T/Yahoo) has noticed anything similar?

I've never had spam at an sbcglobal account.
My Yahoo spams dropped from 40 per day to about 1 every 2- days on average
starting about 6 weeks ago. I think I know the reason, but it wasn't any
improved filters from within in the past week.
There is some discussion in NANAE abut yahoo starting to use Spamhaus XBL
and PBL to reject in the past week or so.

Possibly, but I think SC's mail service would tell you, I am not a client,
but their stand up to now has been to accept all mail.

Very likely, few ISP mail services, or large corporations do not do this
now.

Your last question is incomprehensible. Are you asking if stuff marked BULK
and presumably sent to a "Junk" folder is deleted by AT&T? I would
doubt it
they would have to hack into your computer, but if you simply delete the
contents of your "Junk" folder it's possible that you have
"eaten" some of
your desired mail.
