ATT or Yahoo seems to have gotten aggressive on SPAM

ATT or Yahoo seems to have gotten aggressive on SPAM

Either ATT or Yahoo has gotten extremely aggressive on SPAM
I have only 1-3 spams a day now to report. All the rests are bounced by ATT.
I never see them.

The good news is my SPAM volume is way down...
The bad news, is I cannot contribute items to report to SPAMCOP, to keep
it's filter accurate.

Also, the bad news is, from anecdotal reports, is that ATT is bouncing back
'good' email.

Also the charts at
http://mailsc.spamcop.net/spamgraph.shtml?spamweek
show (at least to me) as significant drop in SPAM reports, the day (20th)
that the change went into effect.

Here is an article from "The Register" on it....

Interesting. It mentions DNS2Go, which is a service that allows people
with dynamic IPs to have them associated with host names. DNS2Go doesn't
have it's own IP addresses, as far as I know.

If people with dynamic IPs are sending "legitimate" emails outside
their
local network, without going through their local SMTP, then, yes, their
emails could be blocked.

The problem is not aggressive spam filters; it's that people with
dynamic IPs should not be sending legitimate emails outside their local
network. When an IP block is inserted into the SpamHaus PBL, for
example, the ISP's "policy" of that IP block is such that IP addresses

on that block won't be sending outbound SMTP.

But I could not tell from the details of that Register article if this

Be aware that some of your legitimate mail may also be blocked or bit
bucketed. We have an ongoing problem with Charter Communications in this
regard.

Just this morning an email from my wife's addy on our account to my addy on
our account was blocked.
