That is a very common problem which usually goes away on its own in
time. Also, it is important that you spamcop report them.

There is a lot of spam in the world. Spammers (almost) always use bogus
From. Spammers (almost) always choose to use a From from the same
address lists that they use to spam, so then at any time a spammer can
put your address in the spam From.

Some mail servers are badly configured in their spam handling. Those
mailservers accept spam for delivery which they can't deliver and so
then they address a newmail nondelivery report to the spam's From. That
would be you if that's what the spammer put in there.

Those misdirected nondelivery reports are abusive and are spamcop
reportable and defnitely should be reported, because reporting them is
even more likely to correct a problem than is reporting 'normal' spam.

reported: -- Misdirected bounces

That isn't important information for this issue.

I'm not an official, but I know where information in the faq/s can be
found.

If 100% of spam could be eliminated before the mail from an unknown
correspondent were challenged, challenging goodmail would still be a
problem, in my opinion.

Dictionaried left hand parts plus dictionaried right hand parts = a lot
of CDs with new addresses for sale.

1) Do you have your own domain and do the non-delivery reports suggest a
"dictionary attack"?

2) Are you receiving "challenge/responses" from Earthlink?

Bounce probably won't work, since the return address may be blank.
Bin them automatically?
Bitch at the sending ISP(s)?

Thanks for that, assuming it is the "official" line.

That is what makes "challenge/response" such a pathetic PITA.
