Has anyone ever rebuilt the Win2K security database?

I'm asking the question,:
Has anyone ever rebuilt the Win2K security database?

  because my FAX  problem seems to have a resolution that requires this

There are warnings also to avoid doing so, and frankly if it is rather risky 
I can live without FAX.

The advice comes from Msofts KnowledgeBase. I don't have the item in front 
of me, but there is an executable that purports to do this. I don't recall 
just know if it is in the Win2K kit already or if it must be downloaded from 
their web site.
